Who cares when it looks like that and says Hope all over it

On a geeky note, not being a motorbicyclist I had no idea what a radial brake mount was but why is this not standard?? Makes much sense. Also, anyone get why they made the back end narrower, bearing in mind this was a 'no industry standards', technical excersise to make the best bike? Surely a wider, off centre back end would mean more lateral stiffness, no dish on the rear wheel, larger spoke angles and a stronger, stiffer wheel?

I admire Hope for making it to showcase not just their components but some thoughts on how to move bikes forward, the bike looks great, front triangle is contemporary and well executed, rear aluminium is nicely made (as you'd expect) and incorporates some nice touches even without the stuff they have done differently as though provokers like the radial mount and offset hub to improve the spoke tension to the rim.

I'm not a fan of much of Hope's stuff as I have different priorities, but the bike looks great and the suspension on the face of it looks well designed, but how it actually rides isn't that important - it's a showcase.

As already said think it's a concept as they are branching out in to carbon parts as the short interview on singletrack site, the hope guy said they make there own moulds.

I'm sure there will be a hope frame one day surprised they haven't already made an aluminium frame as there's only so much you can develop on there hubs and disc brakes and will want to move into more areas for business opportunities etc.

The first question being who on earth paid £1600 for that thing. The second being why has he painted on the fork stanchions.

Lots of nice details, if it ever makes production I guess some of the non-standard bits will be standardized
