Hi everyone. My wife would like to join me on some rides but is unsure whether she'll stick at it, hence the budget restriction. Can you offer any tips on what to buy for her (including second hand)?
I don't want to just pick up any old thing from Halfords in case she does really get into it.

Thanks!

http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-500-s ... 06187.html Is the stock answer for a bike in this price range if buying new, below this price and you are into BSO territory, you could look for a S.H. bike.
  • Secondhand look at the Specialized Dolce and Giant Avail if she wants a womens specific bike. Also Go Outdoors have a nice one for women at £349 the Calibre Loley ladies, I'd say that was better than the entry level one from Decathlon because its got Shimano gears and the other has microshift.
Whatever you choose make sure it fits her, if you cant tell then get someone elce to go with her. Also stay away from Viking bikes. Also its not womens specific but the Ribble Prime at £250.00 is a good deal, Ribble would help you to get the correct size. http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-prime/build/. Make sure she gets a ladies saddle.
