So I've started to to build up my new frame and have hit a stumbling block.
The gear cable nipple for the left hand shifter (ultegra 6800) won't push in,its as if it to big!!strange as its what came with the kit.
Heres a pic to show what i mean

any help would be great appreciated as in what to do...do i file the nipple down or widen the hole or have i done something wrong

thanks in advance

Are you sure the rubber outer is not preventing it from pushing in? In any case I found it's less a case of pushing and more pulling on the wire from the other side.

sure you haven't gone up a click on the shifter?

See that enlarged area at the bottom. You need to push it through there. So push downwards and forwards with a poke like the end of a small allen key or similar. Also check the barrel mechanism behind the cable end (inside the shifter) is not blocking it. Check you haven't accidently threaded in the cable, while in gear.
