Hi all just getting into bikes again after lots of years away, doing about 12 to 20 km a night just till i get into the swing of things again.
I have a Trek 6000 hard tail that's getting on now like me lol but looking at a new bike like the Boardman lightweight mountain bike pro but think the gearing will be no good to me as i do more on road at the moment but do want to get more offroad as i progress. I dont really like the hybrid bikes and want a hart tail with nice forks as i suffer with bad wrists at times.
Any advice would be helpful the bike i was looking at is £999 so don't want cheap rubbish that wont last me i dont mind paying for a half decent bike.
Also what size frame and wheels will be better for me i am 5.10"

As a suggestion why not pick a couple from the Halfords website and then offer them up to this forum on the basis odf anyone got any better ideas. But if you are doing more on the road then a hybrid may be what you need.
...take your pickelf on your holibobs.... :D

    jeez

Link to whichever Scott you actually mean (there being no such bike as an RC premium).

The Boardman is a nice option, as is the on-one Parkwood.

Spec with the Revelation forks and whatever else takes your fancy.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Enjoy! Nothing better than getting a new bike to go and try out on the trails.
