Hi guys, how simple is it upgrading the rear mech on the 2012 Hoodoo? I'm looking at get an XT mech, is it just a case of swapping it over and using the existing shifters? Cheers.

If it's the same speed (basically - up to 9 speed it makes no difference) and make as the shifters, yes.

Cool thanks, I'm looking at an m772.. I'm assuming I'll see an increase in shifting performance?

Unlikely to make an appreciable difference. Shifters are at least as (if not more) important than what they're moving. Also, you'll be amazed what a difference a quick clean of the mech and shifter and some new good quality cables can make, before you start thinking of replacing the more expensive bits....
