Off to Amstel this week and I'm hired a car at Schipol

It's a "VW Golf size"

I guess that means it'll be a Golf, Hyundai i30, Ford Focus or maybe some kind of Citroen.

The box fits in my Audi A3 but with not much to spare.

Anyone know if the box DOESNT fit in any of this car size bracket?

The BikeBoxAlan is about as small as they get.
I don't have one but I imagine that it would fit behind the front seats, unless you have passengers in the rear, or more than one bag.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Shows two in a punto, and says they have fitted two in a VW Golf Polo....whatever that is.

We got 2 in the back of a Golf at Geneva airport. The other bags had to go in a separate car though...

Yeah, you should be absolutely fine. I've had a couple in the back of a Polo (with the rear seats down obviously) and I presume that's smaller than a Golf.

    Have fun!

Just as long as you get a hatchback and they dont try to give you something like a Jetta (saloon version of the golf). Trouble with saloon cars is often not the amount of room in the car but the shape of the boot entry. You are unlikely to suffer that in Europe but its a common problem in USA where they all seem to drive saloon cars.
