Tyre size!

My daughter has Scott Voltage 24 with 24x2 knobby tyres. Wanted to change to slicker for more road and path type riding. Got Schwalbe Delta Cruiser 24x 1 3/8 tyres. Now these are significantly bigger diameter and don't seem to fit to wheel at all. How should I have known that?

Obviously can return but anyone guide as to what slicker tyres I might go for to fit her wheels?

You need a 507 tyre rather than "BMX size" 520.

You can specific this in the Schwalb "selector" but you can also just google 507 tyre
