Sat wtaching BBC news with a bowl of cereal to be advised that on higher ground (me...) there is a chance of hill snow and sleet.

FFS I need more fire wood now.

But we live for today and today says sunshine at 3pm so when I finish at 5 the roads should be dry and when the good lady has toddled off to her spin class it means I have a good few hours to play out on my bicycle.

Just got to work my way through a couple of orders now and all should be good!

Good riding weather today - may end up being a bit overdressed for the ride home as it's warming up out in London town. Just need to get through a lot of work before the return leg.

Been working me, bah. Got home to a letter saying they the council are going to evict us by April 14th. Best of all, they still don't know we are winding up. Off to the local press whilst rubbing my hands soon after a shower and into a slightly more officious outfit.
I honestly thought that they would never cross me with the information I have at my disposal and I honestly thought I would never use it - which in part, was disappointing and now I am no longer disappointed.

    Later...

After the chicken and sald failed to do its job at lunchtime I've resorted to three rice cakes and some cottage cheese.

    Woe is I.

    Afternoon folks,
Day off work today to take the girl up to see a private neurologist, expensive but worthwhile it would seem. She thinks it has to do with intercranial pressure, blood pressure, flexibility and growing too fast. Seemed to make sense anyway, girl is happy there seems to be a physical cause and whilst there is no easy fix she can start to do something about it. The first stage is for me to buy a turbo trainer to put her bike on. There's one on flEabay not far from here for £25 I think that will do. £25 for an Elite Mag trainer sounds reasonable to me. Does anyone know if they'll take 26" wheels?

We've off on an Adult only (not the pervy kind) holiday in a months time and I don't want to be "the fat one".

Dinner tonight (after a 55km ride) is salmon, steamed greens and baked vine tomatoes with chillie, garlic and local Parmesan from oert water.

Mine does, I have an Elite Chrono one that works fine with 26" slicks

    Thanks Spinner.
HD, instead of dieting yourself why not fatten up the others?

I hate the Mag. Do you want to kill her, why not a set of rollers? Then you can use them too

Thanks but I don't think rollers would be a good idea for a girl that struggles with balance and thinks the room is spinning at the moment. I did mention them though.

Indeed. She's happier as she's not being told there's nothing wrong with her and now there is a plan with sound reasoning behind it. It will take a bit of time but hopefully things will start to improve now.

Glad things are looking up MrV, I'm sure I speak for others when I say we all wish her well.

Thank you. She was already so much more positive last night, she was telling her friends that she is going to get better now as she knows what to do. The wife took her out for her evening walk and she went further than she has done for months.

Isn't that cheating? Nice idea though.

I couldn't stay upright on my rollers. The dent in the tumble dryer and a flattened laundry rack is testament to that, so I bought a T bar.
