brekkie, gym, cooling off before ride to office

getting a bit miffed, faced with people not delivering on their actions for over a year and global compliance apocalypse looming, i'm considering a crash and burn approach for the next few weeks, with me lobbing in a few helpful comments such as "i told you so", "______ was covering that", and "that's going to be expensive"

trouble is i'd probably have to clean up the splatter from the ensuing bloodbath

i shall have an espresso and mull it over

    Ciao

Injured hound has been walked, currently watching Rastamouse while coffee is being drunk, will go and do some weights in a bit. Then pay for new summer kit, fit a rad to a wall, child care. Living the dream.

May even buy new cassette for Dirk - shock! Horror!

    Ciao

Aching this morning. Back has cried enough after doing too much over the weekend. But lots of jobs done and brownie points now in stock. Must remember to use them up before they expire.
Nice early wobble in to work, quite warm and not windy. The only problem was that I was riding to work. Day off tomorrow, taking the girl to see a private neurologist for a second opinion.
Two cups of tea have been drunk, might have to do some work soon.

Cleaned up after yesterdays Mothers Day roast (delayed pamper day) this mornign and made it into work for 9.03am which wasn't too bad considering the amount of wine drunk.

The weather outlook is pretty bleak so I'm not sure if an evening ride is on the cards or not, it should be but I'm fed up with geting wet. I just want the big yellow thing to appear and stay there.

    4 x 4 = 16.

Bah. Rain. Filth. Waiting for oily pump parts. Waiting for baler parts. Made some money. Spent more. Waiting for shiny bits...

Toots 1 bawled her head off at 4am, she was inconsolable. When we finally got her to calm down, she stated that she was missing nursery and telling her it was shut for another week wasn't easy. Must go for a kip.

    Laters.

    Evening All,

Just getting into the swing of year end but saving the worst till later this week. Which is a pity as the office hottie has organised drinks on Thursday and invited quite a few former office hotties back for the occasion. Might need to put in late appearance.

@Sungod - global compliance: do you work in banking by any chance?

not banking, my bit is consultancy

we get externally audited to see if we do certain things by the rules, failure triggers vicious retribution

banks, hmmm, i did once have the pleasure of telling the new head of networking for a certain global investment bank: your network's fucked, we told you it was fucked, your own guys told you it was fucked, you didn't believe us so you went and paid ____ 75k and they told you it was fucked, it's fucked

shortly after we threw him excellent party at some nightclub, non-stop bolly and fries, took about a week before my hearing worked again, loud loud loud dancefloor

but he didn't last, in the aftermath i had a meet with his boss's boss who entered the room white as a sheet from the reaming he'd just got from the ceo, only regret is i didn't use the opportunity to drive a stake through the heart of the slimy fucker who really should've carried the can

i typed the correct words, but the censorware substituted ar for uc, and in one case resorted to asterisks, i can't be bothered to subvert it

That's the one, actually thinking about it I think it's 7.7 litre straight six but with two plugs per cylinder not a twelve

Pump up the pressure on the dashboard plunger for the fuel, or get the chauffeur to do it, like one big Tilley lamp, it was really quiet even with the bonnet open.

If I had anything that resembled something slightly like Zen, it would end uo in the recycling skip or torched.
