    I had this on a set of M530s which I think use the same clip but with a cage around it. Was because of the winter abuse and salty roads etc. Just cleaned them up and relubed them and they were fine again. It was somewhat unnerving though, approaching a T-juntion and not able to get my foot out of the pedal to stop...
