Oh yes! Shame I'm kind-of locked to Garmin because I bet that's a whole lot easier to see under streetlights than an LCD screen.

no idea on cost. It isn't even live on kickstarter yet. I expect it will be eye wateringly expensive. But then I have weaned myself off Rapha this year, so may be able to justify an expensive bauble or two.

I'm confused about the first link - is the dark faced one intended for a bike? Am I cycling much slower than everyone else?

The dark faced one is metric - so 30kph at the top of the dial, the imperial one has 18mph at the top of the dial.

    ~£350!
Be great if they did a pressure style gauge for power users.

edit: Thinking about it, why not make the 'Apple' watch of bike computers and create a round unit with a digital display that can do any clock face you want.
Doesn't have as much novelty I guess.

It is very very nice - but 350quid with no cadence, no hbm, no power. Shame no one can just make an Ant+ thingie that takes the data from a garmin etc and puts it on a decent looking display

    Lets get a kickstarter* going!
Are modern screens like those in the Garmin 1000 or 520 good enough for this idea?

and make the public pay for our failure

Depends on the target market. Antique pressure gauge maybe?

Possibly need a pull cord to sound a horn before pulling away. Would let Rower let people know it's time to board the diesel train.

Garmin sort of do that with connect IQ.

only runs on 520 or 1000 of the bike head units and the apps are only slightly configurable. the WBAL ometer is superb for 1 hour efforts. they do other things that show power/ speed in rev counter format with say up to 4 standard text based widgets surrounding it on the GUI.

the running devices have a variety of clock faces and other bits and bobs...

I use the 520 and a few of these.

Thanks Phil, it didn't take long to crush my Kickstarter dreams did it?
Now I want a 520 but have to wait for the 800 to die.
