If my hybrid bike wheels are the same diameter and hub size as my mountain bike wheels could indo a straight swap and adjust my brakes?

    Probably, possibly, maybe.

Same gearing? Number and cog size?

    Same OLD?

    If so probably.

Tried it... Not gona work haha everything matches up (gearing, size etc) but on the back wheel on the gear side the spindle from the centre hub doesn't want to sit in the frame Grove

    Front wheel fits fine

2 possible issues there, first that the OLD on the hybrid wheel is wider, second that it has a larger smallest sprocket and is fouling the frame.

There is nothing different between an MTB wheel and a hybrid wheel as such, just different standards that can apply to either.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Just the hybrid wheel is like 1mm bigger where it's fits into the frame, rather annoying actually

Going to check if the tread will fit over onto the mtb rim as the rims on the mtb have the walls close together

How? The hubs are the same.

There is no standard that is 1mm different.

You can fit small 700c wheel tyre combo onto a 26" MTB usually as long as it's disc brake!
