I have acquired a 2011 Stumpy frame and with it comes a DTSwiss X12 RWS axle. Anyone know how I go about using this with my Mavic Crossride QD wheels. I think I need new bearings and a form of adaptor. Any pointers please.

    Which model frame is it?
I have a 2011 Stumpjumper FSR Comp and the rear wheel is QR and the front is 9mm DT Swiss RWS Thru Bolt.

Thanks for the replys, My frame is a 2011 FSR comp but has the 12 x 142 DTswiss axle. I need the adaptors which seem to be readily available and It seems I must change the wheel bearings on the drive side and free hub as the internal diameter is less than 12mm. Fingers crossed that they are readily available. Its a second hand frame so I do not know if this is original equipment or an after sales mod.

    That's not a 2011 frame then.
Sounds like you may have a 2012 or 2013 frame. What colour is it and do you have any photos?

Its predominantly red with white nd some black relief. As I say I got this second hand to build up with existing parts from my old bike. Any idea if theres a simple way to date these from the frame number?
No Pics to hand at the moment.

Pre-2012 Stumpies have a straight head tube to take a straight 11/8" steerer.
From 2012 onwards they had tapered head tubes to take tapered steerers.

This is a 2012 FSR Comp:
