£1000 to spend........three to choose from!

I’m looking at buying a cross / gravel / adventure bike with a £1000 budget.
The three that I’ve shortlisted are:
• Aluminium - Fuji 1.3 Cross
• Steel - Genesis Croix de Fer 10
• Carbon - Tomac Montezuma (Planet X £1077)
Could anybody offer any help / direction in terms of personal experience etc.

The only one I looked at was the fuji 1.3. I would have gone for that if I hadn't been offered a good deal on a 2015 merida (and I preferred the frame and fork on the merida) but the Fuji seemed like a nice bike.0

Just to throw a spanner in the works I picked up a Cube Cross Race Pro 2016 when it was released and I've loved every mile.
Coming in slightly over budget at £1099 but it's well worth a look. Completely at home on bridleways, gravel tracks, fire tracks, tow paths, muddy fields, twisty forest stuff...the list goes on.
