I have a Pologo saddle on my Cannondale Synapse 105, it is in the 30.00 bracket, as I am increasing my miles and I went for a new Selle Italia saddle which has good reviews on Wiggle.

I did my first 100K at the weekend with the new saddle and I was in pain in my sit bones at about 65K, I was wondering if I should persevere with it or look for something a bit softer. I like the vent in the saddle, good airflow. If I can cure the sit bone pain IO think it will be OK.
Also considering Astute Skyline, any feedback welcome.

Padding often isn't the answer you need to find the shape that suits and that's trial and error unfortunately.
Selle's SLR is ok for me though I find it a little flat and prefer their Flite which is wider and dips a bit in the middle0 -
SLRs on all my road bikes, although not the superflow, just regular flow. As already mentioned it's not about softness but about shape and fit. I'd stick with it for a few rides/weeks to see how it goes. I went from slr xp with no cutout to flows with cut out and it took a few rides to get used to the difference, but I knew the overall shape worked for me so was worth persevering with. Unlike poster above I didn't get on with flites.
Saddles are a persal thing0
