I'll start by apologising for starting another wheels thread, but think this one warrants a fresh start as I can't find much comprehensive coverage of this type of wheelset. Hopefully I'll find some like minds here.

So I'm 98% set on lashing out on some totally over the top wheels for my beloved Genesis Equilibrium disc, in mid/deep (40/50mm) carbon flavour, preferably tubeless too. I'm not interested in getting into a debate about the gains and losses of disc brakes V aerodynamics V weight. I want some flash wheels because I'm a massive tart....deal with it.
I do want them to be of decent quality though, hence why I'm here asking for some informed opinions and not just buying up the first and cheapest wheels I lay my eyes on.

So I've seen there are a few options out there under my £1000 limit. Have I missed any off worth considering or any that I haven't come across yet? The Hunt(Mason) 50mm jobs were the first to spark my interest and still look to have the best depth/weight (1600~g) combo out of the ones I've seen. Only issue being I haven't come across any comprehensive reviews of them.

Other options that have caught the eye;

Fulcrum Racing Quattro https://www.mantel.com/uk/fulcrum-racin ... Ejc3RhcnQ0 (nice price at the moment)

Wheelsmith 45mm http://www.wheelsmith.co.uk/#!powertap/ ... 96a7952154
(£770 with stock hubs or £950 with DT Swiss hubs)

Spin 50mm http://ridefullgas.com/dark-energy-carb ... -1728g-pr/

Anyone had any experience with any of the above, or any others that they'd like to champion?
I'm in no rush to buy (I've been trying to resist buying for long enough now) and have dangled the carrot on a stick in front of myself in the form of promising to buy something once I've secured a new job (hopefully in the coming weeks/months).

What do we reckon?

Points I've forgotten to mention. : Need to be QR compatible. I'm 73 odd kilo, so weight not a big issue.

    I am using a pair of DT swiss Spline RC38C DB bit on the shallow end for you, but still very smooth and responsive, tubeless ready(I did saw someone put Schwalbe One tubless on it). sub 1500g as well if that's what worries you.
    Doesn't look bad either

  • Nice. Very nice. Bike and wheels aren't bad either!

    From what j can find the price is a bit on the steep side for me and it sounds like they have a relatively narrow rim width compared to modern tubeless standards.

    Thanks for sharing though!
