Crank compatibility with BB and Chainstay.

Want to draw attention... I bought a SRAM Rival Crankset 130 BCD 53/39 to fit into BB68 English threaded Road Bike but to my disappointment i saw the inner 39 teeth was touching the chainstay and if i put the spacers 3 mm it prevent the Non Drive side crank Arm from fully threaded. What should be the ideal distance between the Chainstay particularly in the part nearest to second inner ring i.e 39 teeth in my case.

Ideally more than a couple of mm to cope with flex but if the cranks turn and don't rub when riding then that's good enough. Have you checked to make sure the BB shell is to spec and that frame alignment is OK?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
