Hi,

I was thinking of giving Zwift a go. I've got a set of rollers but no power meter. Looks like a power meter (and Ant+ dongle) is the only thing I need to get going.

I picked the first power meter off the list from Zwift's website (Garmin Vector) and they're £600 (pedal type). I'm not sure if that's cheap, expensive or mid-range.... but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for cheaper power meters.

Get a smart trainer, much more realistic on Zwift. I've bought a Wahoo snap which is brilliant, gives you a power reading but if you want something very accurate go with the Kickr or Neo smart trainer.
Personally I'm not worried about its accuracy.
  • Thanks - the Favero one's look ok.

I'm not too bothered about precision accuracy. I prefer the "loose" feeling of rollers than the "fixed" feeling of a turbo. Though, it's difficult to get out of the saddle on rollers which might make it difficult to "race" on Zwift? Or maybe it'll motivate me to improve my balance.
