Just wondering how many times people will repair their tubes before replacing said tube?

That is, people "still" using tubes of course :)

    Until the patches start overlapping.

I normally do do two or three, but I don't think it makes much difference if it's a few more. Just by then the tube starts looking weird.

I only throw the tube away if it gets a puncture on the seam, which I can never get a patch to seal over.

If it can be fixed, I fix it, the only one that couldn't went down fast at speed and by the time I stopped it had a lot of holes where it had been pinched.

My downhill tubes have several patches each. I only bin a tube it it's torn or split on a seam or the valve is dead.
I even pick up abandoned tubes on trails which lazy morons left behind.

I've got a few spare tubes and one tube has about 6 patches on it and is still usable as a last resort if all else fails.
