One arm, two wheels!

I have met two guys mountain biking with missing limbs. One was a guy with one arm who I noticed putting his bike in the back of his car one-handed! Only then did I notice he had one arm missing. We chatted and he got his bike out again to show me how his bike worked. He had a damper on the bar to reduce how fast it would move. And he had a very strong arm. He was thinking about cutting off the half of the bar he wasn't using. The reason was that when he did fall off, that part used to stick him in the gut! So he believed that he'd be better off without it and just go for a tiller! (WOW!) I have no idea how he lost his arm.
The other guy had a missing lower leg, from about half way down his shin as far as I could tell. He rode clipped in and un-clipped in the usual way, except that he had to be a bit more assertive with the un-clip movement. He was an Army Officer who had lost it to a landmine in Afghanistan. I'm sure glad that there are still guys like him about so that none of my family has to go out there and do it. (WOW again).
PS: I wouldn't like to be in the position of either of those two guys. But if I had to choose, it would be the guy with the missing lower leg. I could see myself still being able to ride a bike. But to ride MTB with only one arm blows my mind!0 -
Can you get some type of prosthetic attached to the bar? Like this guy. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2e9Jr ... Aq2HSspKKw0
