Hi everyone,

Got my first road bike the other day and im very happy with it.

Decent spec and a very good price.

10 speed tiagra, full carbon fork and cable discs. Coming from a MTB background I wanted discs as im used to hydraulics. The cables are OK but not as good, better than rim breaks im sure.

Anyway here is a pic, don't have a garage so no white door to put it against so this is the next best I could do.

Looks great, Saracen are really starting to put together some good road bikes, like the look of their new Hack 2

    Enjoy!!!

    What's up with tiagra?

I'm not overly familiar with road bike kit.

    What's up with tiagra?

Absolubtly nothing, Shimanos tendency to trickle down groupsets year on year , effectively means you Tiagra 10 speed gruopset is the Shimano 105 5700 series from last year model. So still very decent stuff.

The biggest problem with lower end groupsets used to be the brakes, No cartridge backed pads e.t.c , but as you have discs this isn't an issue.

You ve got a cog less than current 105/ Ultegra/ DA kit and a bit more weight , but for that kind of bike the longevity and performance of the 10 speed Tiagra groupset is spot on! Any future up grades should focus on Tyres and Wheels as and when required.
