15 minutes of fame eh, Berni? :)

Unfortunately too far from the ski slopes for me.

very very nice, was it ever a time share exchange? because many years ago, we stayed in a Château tower in Brittany, just like yours, cant remember exactly where though.

i do prefer the farm house in the Lot... might be to do with the price :)

The one in Montcuq... somewhat famous for its name.

The Lot is lovely, can't wait to get back in a couple of weeks.

No, not as far as I know. It was a B&B before though.

Although the price is obviously higher, the potential returns from this place are excellent; mini-boutique hotel, weddings, receptions, etc. and the Gatehouse would cover all charges and taxes plus a full time gardener.

Looks lovely. I like the way the article dismisses the referendum at the start. Surely with that looming any potentional UK buyer would wait until it's over?

Looks just fabulous and best of luck with the sale and the next adventures.

If you're open to an offer of £8.43 in cash, then I have those funds available right now here in my pocket.

You may say what you like. Whether it is appropriate to say it is another question.

not as creepy, but still not quite right... i imagine the op would prefer it if people kept it to themselves...nothing better than weird strangers on the internet commenting on how attractive they find your kids and wife....

My brother was trying persuade me to go to Thurso for a holiday instead of my 'chateau'. I pointed out that on average Thurso gets 1085 hours of sunshine a year (and that's with the longest days in June being comfortably over 18 hours), compared with 2350 hours for the 'chateau'. Tough call.

I bet that your 'chateau' doesn't have a nuclear power plant right next to it though!

In France there's never one too far away: mine is Tricastin. French 'lectric bills give the percentages of power generated by different sources, and nuclear is currently running at about 80% of total.

I was half expecting lewd comments about the dog.
