Hi

I have a trek remedy 7 2009 model. The time has come to replace the wheels which wont break the bank, however I'm not 100% sure what type of hubs I need to look for in the wheel. The wheels are 26". the front wheel has a maxle QR and the rear has a skewer QR.

Could I ask if anyone has any suggestions on replacement wheels. Can you get a kit to convert wheels to fit with the maxle/skewer?

Thanks

Depends on the hub. Some you can convert, others you can't.

Superstar do decent wheels with convertible hubs. Depends on your budget but they might be worth a look.

Hope Tech Enduro wheels are good value and excellent quality and can be adapted.

Superstar is probably the way to go but I guess there are some bargains to be had for 26" wheels.

Superstar are the best for £200 but I wouldn't buy another set. The hubs are a bit nasty.

I was after some new wheels and ended up getting lucky on eBay on a brand new set of hope pro 2 evo wheels for under 200 quid. so keep your options open.

Trek do a conversion kit for the rear which is around £40 or £50.
