...with more than one chain ring, tell me where you put your dropper post remote so it doesn't get in the way?

I have just fitted a Giant contact switch to my trance and kept lowering the seat when I was trying to change up a ring! Made for an interesting ride!

Basic coordination. Can you walk and breath at the same time?

No, but I can walk and breathe.

Tsk, I'd expect better from your generation CD! :p

Move it inboard a bit so it is away from the shifter.

I live in a darker age... no dropper, double chainset. Hell, one bike has a triple.

Play around with location until you find the best compromise between handy and in the way!

This page looks like it could be useful.

Just adjust its position a bit, the giant dropper switch sits above the bar and behind and requires you to push down, whilst the shifter is below and forward so you should be able to avoid your problem fairly easily.

Or rotate it round so it's above the bar and pointing towards the rider for easy thumb operation?

If it's properly mounted it should be already.

Pic from the OP might help us here

On left side on top of the bar. Used mutiple dropper posts like this. No issues.

Left hand side next to the shifter is where I had the remote on a Giant dropper. Fits nice and snug if you remove the shift window.

Mines right side just after the shifters, im using iSpec which declutters things a little.
