Hi All,

I am looking for advice on buying my first hybrid bike. I have an upper limit of £350 and understand that I will not get a top class bike for this. What I do want however is the best quality bike I can get for the money that will suit my needs and last as long as I look after it.

I will be using the bike for light commuting and leisure. My commute will not be far but will include some heavy gradients and a rough road surface. If it helps I am 6ft 1 in height so am unsure if the maximum 20 inches of the VooDoo would be too small.

Could you please share your wisdom with me by telling me which bike out the the three below has the best quality parts:

This link should bring up the comparison for easy viewing: http://tinyurl.com/jfhc374

Kona Dew: http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/hybrid-bikes/kona-dew-hybrid-bike-2015

13 Intuitive Alpha: http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/hybrid-bikes/13-intuitive-alpha-hybrid-bike-2015

Thanks in Advance for the advice. I have tried to include all information need, if I have missed anything please ask.

Of the bikes you have linked to, I would go with the rigid forked Voodoo Marasa because it has hydraulic disk brakes and you don't really need a suspension fork on a road bike IMO. I doubt the 20" bike would be to small, my nephew is 6' 2" and rides a 18" Voodoo Hoodoo MTB.

The Kona is ok but has V type rim brakes which means you will eventually wear the rims out. Seeing as you are buying from Halfords, you can look at each on and try for size/fit.
