I have a maxxis dhr ii 2.4 dual ply on the rear of my orange and it's brilliant, however it is weighty at 1200g aprox . Will be getting a lighter TR wheelset this month so looking for some tyres that are a little lighter and TR that won't break the bank. Seen some 2.3 exo TR dhr ii for £23 a pop and around 800g question is, are they any good on the front?

The dhr is a better front than the dhf. I've been using them front and rear for years.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Used dhr's F/R dhf's st, exo almost any compound maxxis has, best ever front tire I tried, Schwalbe magic mary SG vertstar
lighter than maxxis downhills, circa 1065grms thicker side walls and can be run with lower pressures without feeling mushy and deflated, the side walls have better support than any maxxis I tried but life expectancy not that great, lasted half as a maxxis but grippy untill bin eats them“I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without expectations of rewards or punishments after I am dead.”
