asked in road general with no joy, but is there any 'traditional' (relatively modern I know) relationship between time bikes and a groupset maker?

are they usually paired with campag or shimano, or is there no real precedent

Well they are French, so no French groupset manufacturer to team up with. The bikes on their website do have mainly Mavic wheelsets though. And Rotor chainsets. And quite a lot of Campag. But they also offer Shimano spec bikes.

So it's entirely up to you really...

You could try to keep it all Euro with Time plus Campag?

Tom Boonen used Campag on his Time, as did P Bettini.

but as they are like LOOK - relatively modern, i dont think there is a tie in.

On an Italian bike i d use try an use Campag but on my 595, i d use either, so shimano for me
