Hi everyone,

My name is Allan, just signed up to the forum.

I have been riding MTB for more years than I remember. A year or so I got a hybrid and have just taken the plunge and bought a full road bike.

After a long search I bought a 2015 Saracen Tenet 3. Didn't want to spend a fortune so the £399 price looked good. I know its not the lightest bike out there but should do for a few years until a upgrade is due.

Where did you buy your bike from and how much does it weigh? I'm into my mtb as well but looking for a road bike to use on the side

    Callum
  • got it from ukbikesdepot.com

Think its about 9.5kg but I'm not too bothered about it as its much lighter than my full sus that I normally drag about.

They price matched another retailer, really god service.

You'll find the endurance and controlled power from road biking is very helpful for mountain biking especially xc trails.

How are you finding this bike?

I'm seriously considering it as a commuter. Do you know if it has eyelets for mounting a rack as well as mudguards? The brakes don't appear to be the best but for the price can't complain too much!
  • I havnt been out yet due to recovering from surgery.

I will check and see if it has eyelets, I'm sure it does not will double check later.

Great thanks. Hope the recovery is swift!
  • Sorry, I forgot about this post.

I checked and the bike does have eyelets.
