I'm going to upgrade to 11 speed on a SRAM red equipped 10 speed bike. Want to change to shimano da9000, but would like to keep the SRAM aero link brakes. Does anyone know if they're compatible? I know shimano do some funky stuff with cable pull ratios. Thanks.

  • You could just change your shifters and front mech to red 22.
  • OOOps and Cassette.
  • I could, but I fancy using DA 9000 for the lighter front shifting- not nuts about the feel of Red if I'm honest.
  • I did try DA 9000 it was slick but kept breaking cables even on the 9001 shifters, also prefer the definite click of Sram myself. But if you don't like it give DA a go.
