Looking to purchase bike insurance to cover 3 very expensive bikes and noticed this company seemed to be about half the price of all other quotes I got but has anyone out there any experience with them

  • Just did a quick quote and Cycle plan is £20 pa cheaper for me. I do find cycle insurance eye wateringly expensive compared to my motorcycle insurance

Specific bike insurance is roughly about 10% of the value of the bike (from the quotes i have had) - thats why adding it to the house insurance makes more sense as it usually works out cheaper.
  • I've just had a quick glance at the site but couldn't find an answer to a question, Do any companies insure bikes against accidental damage? Say you crashed and wrote off a £2k frame for instance?
    Advocate of disc brakes.

They quoted me around £36 pm where as all my other quotes have been in excess of £60 pm, which is why I was wondering if there were any catches. Tbh I can't get cover on my house insurance as there is always some sort of cap involved (max £5k in total). That wouldn't even cover cost of replacing my Cervelo R5
  • Compared to my quote £36 would seem about right. As for £60 +.......my eyes are watering again.
