Rear shock - 165mm x 38mm (6.5" x 1.5")

My boy's shock on his Anthem decided to lose the will to live this week. I have done the usual checks - valve, air can service - but it won't hold pressure, so I'm after a replacement.

Anyone got any tips for places to buy from, please?

I have checked all the usual places and so far zee Germans seem to be the cheapest - around £130 for a Monarch R.

germany is the cheapest unless you go second hand.

Decathlon had them for around £100 for the Monarch R but not the black shaft model.

Unfortunately the 165 x 38 is out of stock. I'll e-mail them though and ask if any more are coming in.

I got mine from the Germans as I wanted a black shaft version fair play it was here in 3 days.

The Monarch R is a terrible shock, really harsh.
Look for a Fox RP3 instead.

Once I tuned it with spacers my monarch R does the trick. Easily tuned. It depends what you need.

You can't tune a hopeless damper with spacers.
