So I pulled the trigger and got myself a FS from the bay of e

I have been off the trails for a few years now focussing mainly on road bikes however a new house move to a village that backs onto 650 acres of prime single track left a MTB itch that just needed to be scratched !

I naively and stupidly did not real all the small print on the ad so I have had to stump up £100 for a fork service at TF Tuned and also £20 for a brake bleed from the LBS, I have also had to take off 1" of seat mast with a hacksaw.

All in including the cost for the service and brake bleed it comes to £750. I think its a good deal. I have the receipts from when the guy built the bike and it cost him over £3k all in. He has had it stored upside down for 2 years hence then brakes and fork issue.

Some of the running gear is a bit worn but all works perfectly, Shifts are precise and very positive and once the brakes are bled they should be plenty powerful enough.

Full Spec:

Frame: Scott Spark RC Carbon with Nude Shock (near mint condition a few small cable rub marks etc)
Fork: Rockshox SID XX World Cup with lockout (mint condition currently being serviced)
Brakes: Tektro Auriga 180/160 with new pads (LBS currently bleeding brakes)
Wheels: American Classic hubs with ZTR Crest tubeless ready rims and DT Swiss spokes (built by just riding along)
Tyres: 26 x 2.25 Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.25 Evo (running as tubeless with Stans No Tubes sealant)
Gearing: SRAM XO grip shifter / e-13 36t chain ring Truvativ cranks / X7 rear mech and cassette & chain
Finishing Kit: Specialised Romin Saddle / Scott alu bar and stem / unbranded foam grips

Weight: Not sure defo sub 10kg

I am not really planning any upgrades as everything works fine, I will swap out the cassette and chain soon as they could do with refreshing and I may get some new crank arms as the current ones are a bit tatty (but functionally fine). If I see a good deal on a 2nd hand XO rear mech I might get one. I have considered swapping out the brakes to something a bit more modern like the latest Deore or SLX but to be honest the weight saving would be marginal and I don't think I would get a huge performance boost - I am only going to be riding for fun/fitness anyway so I am not going to be pushing to the max.

Can't wait to get it back from the LBS now.
