Road Tyres for 29" Wheel Mountain Bike

Hi folks,
I'm looking at getting some cheap road tyres to put on my Voodoo Bizango mountain bike. The mountain bike has 29" X 2.25 tyres on it at the moment, but I'm looking for something slimmer to allow me to do some road training. I'm new to road biking so literally have no idea what I'm looking for!
Thanks,
Steven

29er tyres are the same bead diameter as 700c tyres, ETRO 622. A 700x 32c tyre would be thinner but you need to check the minimum width your rims can take.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Thank you, so I would be looking for a 700cc tyre. How do I find out what the minimum width my rims can take?0 -
Bigger the better. I suspect over 30c or so.
I'd go with these:

Thanks for that but they're a little more expensive than I want to pay (when you factor in the cost of tubes as well). Would you recommend any of these?

Those are good. But won't feel as plush or fast.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I bought a pair of 700x35c Vittoria Randonneur Pro IIs from Planet X ~18 months ago, thinking I was going to get my Tricross back on the road again, but the bike still needs a comprehensive inspection/service.================

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your recommendation and I am considering buying them, they're just a lot more expensive than what I was hoping to pay. Do you think these would fit and are they compatible to the Kojak's? They are 700x32c, do you think they will be too thin or should they fit?

I'm not sure how different the wired version are in feel, but if they are anything like as good as the folding version then these should be a bargain: http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVIVOHW/v ... wired-tyre
They are brown, mind.0 -

Enjoy, they are a lovely ride. Don't be tempted with too high a pressure - I'm 90kg and run the rear at 60psi, front at 50psi - fast, smooth and plush.0
