Mekk sizing help

After a bit of help please people
My brother is stepping in to the world of cycling and is looking for his first first bike. He is on a limited budget but has decided he does not want a second hand bike.
The mekk pinerolo 0.2 sora at wiggle is within budget but the sizing is confusing. He is 5ft 7" with an inseam of 29". Wiggle suggest a 50cm frame but going from the size chart whilst that would suit his leg size, it suggests a height of up to 5ft 6.
Looking at the chart I reckon he needs a 52cm but was wondering if anyone had bought a mekk and can offer some advice on the sizing?
