Will a shimano 11spd crank work with a 10spd groupset?

    yes. Front shifting might not be perfect but not enough to affect your ride

    yes, cranksets are generally the least fussy when it comes to mixing sizes
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

    Yep should be fine. The reverse - 10sp rings with 11 speed chain can be a problem though as the chain can stick causing chain suck.

    Yes.
    I have an 11 speed semi compact chainset on my 10 speed training bike and never had any issues.
