My choice would be the Giant.

Not a lot in it, basically the same spec.
The Merida looks weird.

Hi guys, thanks for your input! Sounds like the Giant may be the better option.. but if the Merida is more comfortable at least I now know that I won't be doing myself a disservice specs wise. Thanks!!
