Does anyone know if I can suspend my bikes from the quick release skewer or axle?

  • i wouldn't risk it. I have seen bike suspended from the rim of the wheel or the top tube if the wheels need to come off.

    How?

just hang it by the wheels.

Not sure what you mean by suspend by the quick release skewer - if you mean put a strap or rope in the middle of a skewer and put that on the bike then No - the Skewer isn't man enough to take the lateral load - but if you want to use a skewer to attach the bike to a bar inbetween the dropouts which is then strapped then yes - no reason why not - although if you're going to do that it's easier to put a strap around the wheels or handlebar ... ?
