Hi there, I have a GT Avalanche 1.0 2007. The bike came with Kenda Nevegals if I remember correctly. These tyres did their job but eventually wore out.

I recently replaced them with some maxxis high roller 26x1.9 and I lost all confidence with the grip they are terrible.

Now my other bike is a kona stinky 6 and this has maxxis minion 26x2.35 and I really like those tyres I trust chucking the bike into the corners.

Can anyone reccomed some tyres?

At the moment I'm stuck between getting the original kendas which I didn't have a problem with or trying the maxxis minions that I have on my kona.

We do mainly cross country riding and quite a bit of trail centres.

Thanks

Jack. :?:

Panaracer rampage are very similar to Nevagals in tread pattern, and the foldings ones are quite light. Quite sticky in softer compounds as well.
never understood the love for High Rollers. Fine upright and cranked over, but nothing in between.

Maxxis Ignitors in soft (Exception) compound are great for general XC stuff, but have become quite expensive.
