SPD Shoes - which type?

Looking for some new SPD shoes - apart from looks are there any advantages to the flat/trainer style SPD shoes over the traditional shoes?

What style do wear and why....recommendations??

Not sure which style to buy.....????

    M200s here I really like them
    Lighter than gravity shoes while offering more protection than traditional disco slippers. Speed lacing and ratchet feels good and is easy to replace. There are some vents at the front but they're not open to the elements. Oversize cleat plate and slots lets you put the cleats right back if you prefer
