Hi

I've got a Mavic Yksion Pro Griplink 25mm front tyre and I've been looking for a cheap rear version, the Powerlink, and they never seem to come up on Ebay compared to the front so I'm guessing its because rears wear out quicker

Anyway is there really much difference between the front and rear tyres and am I likely to notice it ?
I didn't think Mavic tyres were very well rated to be honest but given I have one already it makes sense to get another.

So any experiences of them ?
Should I just put the front and rear business out of my mind and get one ?

Cheers

No idea. I'd always want my best tyre on the front, so if you buy something else like a ContiGP4000S or a Michelin Pro4SC to go with it I'd probably suggest putting the Mavic tyre on the back. You'll wear it out quicker that way too, so your dilemma will be over.

I doubt it matters. In any case, my experience of the Mavics (as tubulars) is that they're made of cheese. The chances of one lasting long enough to be worn out seem slim.
