Volta Comunitat Valenciana **SPOILERS**

  • Dylan Groenewegen pips Nacer Bouhanni for the win and upsets big bad Boonan in the process.
Carlton Kirby upsets everyone, (bar one) ruining the already less than stellar coverage by his having unique mixture of comedy, obsession of the day (graphics) and manic hysteria turned up to full blast.

    Epic fail by Jungels.
  • Poels win's the stage, extends GC lead.

Sky 1 2 in the GC
  • Great early season win from Poels
  • Some people who are so obsessed with Froome-Vuelta 2011 have forgetten that Wout has been second in Stage 15 : Avilés to Alto de l'Angliru. Always been a good climber,

P.S: not me, he is in my team

Always thought Cati would suit Poels to a tee.
Nicely geared, unlike Aru who looked like he was doing an impression of half a century ago.
Anyhow, it's made a visit to the Asylum worthwhile.
Currently they are gnashing their teeth over Poels the doper, while at the same time exalting Dirty Bertie as the one true champion.
    More fun than the Beano.

Oh here we go. I've just spent the last 2 hours arguing with idiots like Digger on Twatter. Still the only thing they can come up with is Leinders, but never mind. One day there will perhaps be something better to base allegations on. Or not.

Your time would be better spent teaching your cats quantum mechanics. The result is the same but at least you can cuddle the cats.

and when one of them wrote on his Twitter profile "Do not like Team Sky so if you're a fan, be warned" but happy to have 140 points because he has Kennaugh in his team :? .

it's true that Kennaugh has not yet won against Contador :)

You wonder whether these people understand cycling. Poels finished last season very strong (almost won Britain and Abu Dhabi) and has made clear he has leadership ambitions. So obviously he's coming out all guns blazing. Aru on the other hand has guaranteed Tour leadership. Why would he need to be in good form yet?

They also seem stunned by the Herald Sun Tour - the equivalent of Arsenal beating Brentford in a pre-season friendly.

That's a she. Florry, she is nice. But yes, not so hot on Sky. Playing the same game as me, fantasy-wise.

    It's very simple. Like them.

All riders dope. Especially those that have a mission saying they don't.

Once you understand that, it all becomes clear. There are NO clean riders. None.

If you believe all those things then you too can be a Digger. (Being a Contador fan also allows you to be upset about Froome).
  • I don't want to disrespect the other teams, especially after a stage win by UHC but there are only 3 teams World Tour in the Herald Sun Tour (16 teams). They would be the first to laugh if Team Sky had no result in this race.

Katusha on the front of the peloton. Lap confusion. 30km to go?

Laps sorted as Peters and Kiri take over at the front for Poels & the GC.
  • Glad I stopped by just now, will catch last 13km!

Finishing circuits have started with 12km to go. There is an EQS and BAR rider in front so it is up to Cofidis to lead the peloton if they want Bouhanni to stand a chance in a sprint finish.

Leaders could make this stick if they carry on working together on a tight circuit like this. 6km to go.

OT A fast way to expose the hypocrisy is to remind folk of Digger's 'naive' role in the heist of the Kimmage Defence Fund by UCI Overlord. The conspiratorial moron handed control of the fund's Paypal to a guy who lied for a living. Digger continued to vouch for the obviously fraudulent chuckle-meister, despite it being known that, behind the scenes, Overlord was advising McQuaid on how to manipulate his social media critics. In my experience, Digger will rapidly run away behind the block button or get his asylum chums to issue a ban. It's 100% effective.
