Probably the Pike, I'd have a chat with Ben about your riding and trust his opinion.I don't do smileys.

Depends on your riding, if you don't need the extra rigidity and big hit stiffness of the Pike then the Rev is usefully lighter.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

get the pike, damper is better and lets be honest looks better.0

I thought the charger damper was in pretty much the entire rockshox range now?0

Guessing it's a new bike0

Yeah new bike
I can either have the rock shox Revelation RCT3 or pay extra £50 and have the pike RC0 -
How do you know the current forks are inadequate? Or do you just want to buy new forks regardless?Current fleet

Forgive me, I've only just cottoned on to what you meant by new bike. I thought you meant you had just received it and wanted to swap forks. As above, depends on your riding, Revs are nice and light, but lack a certain stiffness for harder riding. Opposite for the Pikes. Pikes may seem like good value at that price, but if you don't ride hard enough to get the most out of them, they won't necessarily be any better than the Revelations.Current fleet

Only just getting back on a bike after 4 years away so my riding won't be hard. So from what I can take from your replies is that the Revs will be fine.0

The weight difference is quite small. I would go with the Pike for it's extra stiffness.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Great builds POAH, but why have you not cut the brake lines?0
-
I say pike like monkey, its not really much heavier at all. and will do far more in the long run if you ever decide to push it hard.0

bro in law hasn't decided on bar width yet so no point cutting them yet.0 -
Having looked up the numbers on both, I'm changing my vote to Pike. £50 and 80 grams is a very small price to pay for the extra stiffness.Current fleet

Looks like I made the right decision with the pike forks. Cheers fellas
Nice bikes Poah.0
