cycling to moldova

i am considering riding from uk to moldova next year , i was wondering if any on here have some advice of route since i do not wish to folow rivers for a thousand miles but some mountains would be nice to break the terrain --thimking of heading towards transylvania and then down into moldova ---this will be in july/ august so i expect it to be hot ..
