Halfords Chris Boardman Sport 2014

Hi All,
I've been cycling to work on a MTB Voodoo Bantu for about 18 months and even did the coast to coast on it. This year I'm doing 2 coast to coasts and going to be cycling everyday to work so was thinking of upgrading... budget is tight though and don't really want to spend more than £300. Have seen Halfords sale has the 2014 Chris Boardman Sport road bike for £337.49. Do the people who know more than I about this think its a decent bike and would see me through the roads and C2Cs? Or am I missing an obvious choice at about the same price level?

As long as you can buy one that is the correct size for you then it would do the job and would be a lot more efficient for your two C2C rides than your MTB. Can your local store get one in for you to try? Also has mountings for full mudguards and a rack which could be useful for commuting.0
