Which Bib-Tights around £60-£70?

Been looking to buy some new bib-tights as I am down to one pair which are going through the wash 5 times a week.
I did order some from my club which were part of our winter kit order (ordered beginning of November and delivered mid-Jan  ), however I ordered bib-tights in XL as I was between a large and an XL and they delivered bib-knickers in XXL
So with a budget of around £60-£70 what would you recommend?
Must be all black, maybe with a little bit of blue or yellow (as club kit is blue and yellow), looking for a Roubaix type fabric, decent chamois to be good for 3-4 hour rides, preferably with zipped bottoms to the legs.
I have seen DHB ASV Roubaix Bib Tight - Black Edition which seem ideal but wondered if there are any better deals on better bib-tights out there.
I am usually a UK medium to large (more large)
Cheers

I really like the DHB stuff, to be honest with you! Worth a punt. You can find some cheaper stuff on Decathlon - they describe a pair as "warm" and they cost £25 each. I find them as good as the roubaix and you can get a few pairs.0

i have the DHB Roubaix classic bibs and the pad is crap is them. I'd say the La Passione bibs would be good going by there shorts pad. that's just my opinion. I have club Santini bib tights as well and the pad is good.0

There's another thread on exactly this somewhere (same price range).
Check out campag Ardennes

LP tights have a reputedly crap pad0 -
I've never really heard a bad word for Endura stuff around that priceWilier Izoard XP0

just seen the Sportful No Rain Bib Tights which are within budget, I have the No Rain Knee Warmers which I really rate, am thinking that the bib-tights might be just the ticket?
anyone tried them?
Coriordan - did try the search function and couldn't find anything that answered what I was looking for?? those Campag ones look good, no idea what their sizing is like as well as no size guide for winstanleys.
Thekooman - had a look at the La Passione bibs and they do look good, just out of the price range though I am afraid.
Big-Jack - Decathlon stuff is ok, but I am looking for something of a good quality, I have some DHB stuff and really like it, but it is usually built to a price point.Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0 -
Bought the sportful no-rain bibs in the end in an XL, wore them this morning and first impressions are really good, they are warm, the pad is very comfortable and they deflect rain/spray pretty well, must admit I am suitably impressed.
They do size up a little small, I am usually a large in most kit (such as DHB, endure etc) but these are an XL and are very snug, which IMO is a good thing as they have an almost compression feel to them.
Time will tell how good they actually are but first impressions are favourable, plus I got them cheap from wiggle so managed to get a DHB long sleeve base layer as well for within my budget. :-)Obsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0 -
Yeah saw that, but as I am not tall and slim didn't pay too much attention, still I am happy with themObsessed is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated!0

Lusso bibs fit your bill as you can usually find them at less than RRP. I particularly like them as they plain black but with a very discrete union jack logo and lighter stiching with very good pad as well. If it's any relevance, I am 6'1" and 81Kg - XL fits me just right. The Union Flag logo signifies made in UK (Manchester) as an added bonus.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

I've just received some Lusso to test and initial impressions are oustanding. Great fit, good pad and, these are the new model. So they combine the Max Repel approach with some bloody big rear mounted nitelife panels. Ultra visible.
And they have foot loops. I love foot loops. Not sure if they are actually available to buy yet but I'm checking on that.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

When I bigged them up earlier, I forgot to mention the foot loops that Bender refers to as a plus point for the Lussos. IMHO, another one (on my Max Repels at least) is a front zip which makes 'comfort breaks' a lot easier!Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

Just bought some of the bibs and they are excellent. Why tights as we are now coming into spring? Wouldn't bibs and leg warmers be a better option?0 -
I find the castelli bib tights very comfortable for 3-4 hour rides, they are normally on sale if you look around. Just be a little careful if you are a bigger build as they are fairly fitted. If a bigger build gore bike wear bibs are more forgiving. Again buy them only when on sale.0

Well, well. The Lusso I wore in today are a new model. A mix of their max repel and nitelife ranges. £79.99 RRP. Not out there to buy yet, but will be soon.
I found them as comfortable as my Castelli Sorpasso, just as well fitting and as warm. The added bonus is that they are much warmer than the Castelli Nanoflex bibs and have a better overall fit. Really impressed by them.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Have a look at Chapeau. They have 50% off their bib tights at the moment and I am seriously impressed with mine.0

Be very interested to see these - my current Max Repels are excellent and fit me very well - the only bib tight I have found to have a decent body length. Tried loads - Endura, Rapha, Merlin, none fit me as well as Lusso. None as warm either, apart from Endura Thermolite. Need a second pair - hope this new model is very imminent. Is there an option of padless/padded as Lusso seem to be doing now? Oh, and I love the foot loops!0 -

All of which just reinforces in my mind that I don't need to look any further than Lusso for my cold weather tights (although judging by how well the current ones seem to be wearing, that might be quite some time in the future). Their shorts are pretty damned good too.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

I have two pairs of bibs now. These, and some Parentini K-Dry Shark ones. Both working on similar principles. Thermal and water repellent. Both are superb. There are some differences between them. The Parentini are a bit more, but still waycheaper than the Castelli equivalent. Slightly better pad, slightly more "100 mile" design.
But, honest to God, couldn't be happier with two pairs of bibtights. Both are superb.
Rode in today wearing Lusso's thermal jacket as well. The Leggero one (not the Windtex one). Not designed for freezing temps but worked very well. And will be absolutely lovely, I am sure, on my 10c temp commute home.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

This is turning into a bit of as Lusso fanboy forum but, just to say that apart from tights and shorts, the only other item of Lusso kit that I have got is one of their 'Le Mans' long sleeve jerseys (men of a certain age should think Steve McQueen's Gulf Porsche racing overalls in the film of the same name!). Another terrific bit of kit which is neither waterporrof or completely windproof but works very well in a range of temperatures with the right layering.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

I've just got a pair of Rivelo Winnats tights from Sport Pursuit for £60
They are lovely - subtly stylish, warm, soft feel, great pad (testing on a longish ride tomorrow - 40 miles, but with the wife so will be a reasonably long time in the saddle), DWR panels on thighs and backside.0 -

Sorry, I didn't reply in the other thread Ryan.
I also bought these bibs and totally agree with Ryan, I've only used them for just over 20 miles but first impressions are excellent. I'm going to try them on my commute at 5.30 tomorrow morning to see how they cope with low temps.0 -
