Tool set / kit - which one ??
Morning all,
As my birthday is approaching and to avoid getting another pair of useless shirts etc. was thinking to tell my wife to get me a nice tool set for my bike.
Last time she got me bike stand and it serves me well since.
So question here is:
What would be the tool set you would recommend ?
I do have few tools already, but was thinking of something I can use to strip down rear, wheel, BB, cassette etc ?
Budget up to £100.
Probably it would be better to buy tools as I need them and build up my own set, but I think as a present/gift would be easier to show her a link she can click and buy.
Many thanks,
Chris

Can't go far wrong with superstar stuff. If their most tools a box includes too many bits you have then pick bits out separately0

It depends on your bike a little I think, make sure any kit you get has the right bits, but I have something similar to this fro Halfords. Has cone spanners for the wheels, chain whip, crank extractor, allen keys, flat head and phillips screwdrivers, pedal spanner. Seems comprehensive enough for me and good enough quality.

I then bought a small socket set from amazon.

I'm sure there's other bits I'll need, but the only thing missing I know of are some proper cutters for the gear cables.Daddy, Husband, Designer, Biker, Gamer, Geek

Not going to be much help here as I hate tool kits.
But something like
CK torx driver set (full size)
Bacho 1/4" Socket set
Bondhus allen key set
Basic tools that will last a life time, then just purchase the specialist tools as and when needed. This is what I have done and most of the time the above three cover most duties as well as none bike duties duties.
Tools I use the most come from my everyday tools, only need the specialist ones when servicing and then spend the most that I can (buy right, buy once).0
