Ideally I'd love a titanium frame, I love the look of them, but cant really justify the expense with a growing family. The same applies to something from Tom Donhou also unfortunately..........
I'm just after some advice on a disc specific road frame (ideally steel) to repalce my Genesis Croix De Fer.
It will be built with fizik finishing kit and shimano hydraulics and handbuilt wheels .
I'm after something for decent paced road riding. I don't want something that is versatile. I've a planet x cx bike already. Ideally, something a bit different and with a bit of character. Without breaking the bank! It's not that much to ask is it
Choices so far seem to be:-
genesis equilibrium disc
condor fratello disc
all city macho man
Any I've missed?
Thanks all!

What about aluminium if you're looking for a frameset for fast road riding. Kinesis Racelight 4S disc maybe?0

I'm not sure the macho man will be much more road focussed or lightweight than the CdF. The Macho King is very nice but also quite expensive.
Others you might want to consider include:
Condor Fratello
Mason Definition or Resolution
Bowman Pilgrims
I'd probably go for the Bowman out of those.0 -
If you wanted full build Kona Roadhouse ticks all the boxes. 853 tubing and full 105 hydrualics. Add a set of decent wheels and your there. Will be my choice come May! it was this or equilibrium disc for me

If you'd consider Alu this would be well worth a look, especially since it sounds as though you don't need mudguard and rack fixings? The CAAD10 frame is supposed to be as good as alu gets and a veritable bargain at £370 (plus cashback) I reckon. would build into a fast bike...you can thank me laterTitus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -

thanks all for the tips so far.
I had seen this and its mighty tempting.0 -
update - too good an opportunity to miss is that CAAD10 - stock alert set up for when my size arrives.
Also wiggle price matching will sort some of those Pro-Lite disc wheels (mentioned in the commuting forum). I've got shimano hydraulics good to go. should build a nice fast & light all weather machine.....
Great what bargains you are tipped off about on here!
Thanks all!!0
