What are you supposed to wear when riding a hybrid bike on roads? I wear road bike clothing but it doesn't look right on a hybrid bike.
I see casual cyclists wearing coats and jeans on commuting/hybrid bikes.

Whatever is comfortable, nothing wrong with wearing road bike clothing if it is comfortable.0

I see quite a few people wearing road bike clothing riding hybrids, I also see people wearing casual type clothing. I assume that they are only riding a short distance and/or do not wish to wear close fitting lycra. If you already have road bike clothing why not use it when riding your hybrid? Aren't you using it as your winter bike now anyway?0

Yeah the hybrid is the one I ride in winter. I have a fairly comprehensive collection of road bike clothing so have been wearing that. I was just wondering if it was the 'done thing' on a hybrid!0 -
If you want to play it safe, then stick some baggy shorts over your lycra. That gives you the best of both worlds - lycra comfort and a more casual 'look'0

I suppose it depends on a few factors... What sort of riding you`ll be doing..? How far youre riding,? What weather you ride in..? Time of day...? The list is endless... Just try to where something comfortable... Good luck!0

It was sunny today so wore my Winter road bike clothing. Really enjoyed the ride out in the sun and it wasn't too cold either so only needed a base + jacket to keep core warm.
God, I love the sunshine!0
