If I was riding tubulars in the winter then I would probably fill them with sealant and/or carry a can of Effetto or Pit Stop;

The following is a pretty cheap tyre to carry as a spare and you could stick with your current brand/model;

Ditch the tubs for winter, expensive and unnecessary habitleft the forum March 20230

Which clinchers are people running then??
Looking for something about £30 £40 per rim.0 -
I run a pair of Challenge Forte 24mm tubs through winter - no punctures in two years - and a pair of Michelin Pro 4 Endurance 23mm clinchers - 2 punctures this winter. Probably down to luck more than anything.0

Just ordered a set of Continental Ultra Gatorskin for £18 each0

Vittoria Open Pave CG (Link below)
Cant recommend them enough, I cycle them all year round and so far after about 2000 miles on them, i've had no punctures, running them on dura ace c24 wheels at around 95psi.

Clement Strada Lgg have been fine for me this winter;not quite as nice as Open Paves but last longer and don't cut up so much either.

25mm GP4 seasons, grippy and very good resistance to punctures including in the wet. Not as durable as some others as far as cutting up but the best puncture protection I've come across. I found the Gatorskin Hardshell incredibly lacking in grip to but they'll probably last an age. I got rid of mine as I didn't like how sketchy they felt when cornering.0

+1 for 25mm Conti GP 4 Seasons. Good grip in the wet, probably not as puncture resistant as the Gatorskins you have ordered but a good deal lighter. I find they cut up less than the Conti 4000S' I use in summer.0

If you fancy giving tubeless a try I can highly recommend the Hutchinson Sector 28mm as a great winter tyre.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

As you will probably gather, everyone has their own favourites. Mine happen to be 25mm Conti GP 4 Seasons and I have never found a reason not to use them all year round. I can't say they are puncture proof as I had a couple in the summer (on the same ride!) and one last month but my personal view is that they offer the best balance between ride and toughness that money can buy. Oh and I tried Gatorskins once and never again.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

+3 for the 25mm GP4 Seasons. Been using them for 8 years, initially all year round, but now just when it's cold and / or wet. Which some years is most of the time.
Never had anything penetrate the tread. Couple of pinch flats, and one javelin like thorn through the sidewall though.0 -
