New addition to the garage, all, very original, have just had to re cable and replace brake blocks, sort bar tape and new saddle and new tyres. Looking forward to giving it a good test tomorrow.

My son has a very similar one, its sitting in our garage right now. He bought it by mistake at a church bazar, long story. The only things we replaced on it were the tyres and cables. We're in Switzerland, and as the bike must have originally been bought just across the boarder in France, it has a small "seal" made of lead on some string around the frame, by the seat post clamp, to show that duty has already been paid on the import. So the original owner could cycle into France again without incurring further duty when they came back into Switzerland. He's planning to convert it to single speed at some point, hopefully keeping the duty seal.

It deserves better than being converted to single speed!

He's young, they all go through a single speed phase. Doesn't last long.
